Here is my blog for the day.

Its Fathers Day and this day is pretty special to me because there is not anyone that I thought could ever love me more than my dad.  He was such an amazing man and I was his little girl (youngest out of 6 – yes 5 older brothers and I was the baby).  He was always there for me, loved me unconditionally and was hard when he needed to be (which I was a perfect kid – not).  But I always knew that he would have my back.  I am grateful that he was there to walk me down the aisle and he was there for all 3 of my kids to be born and to see them when they were little.  That was 13 years ago and it feels like yesterday.  He was my hero and his family was everything to him.  My dad was adopted and had no family at all.  So when he started his family he was the best dad ever.  It wasn’t an option to get us together every year even as my brothers got older the most important thing to my dad was family and celebrating holidays together (along with anyone else that didn’t have a family he would always invite anyone who didn’t have someone to spend the holidays with.  My dad traveled when I was little but came back to watch all sports and any big event in my life.  It breaks my heart I don’t have more photos with my dad and that my wedding photo was crappy but its the best memory of him, If I would have only known that 7 short years after walking me down the aisle God would take a wonderful man to heaven to look down upon me.  (I HATE cancer by the way).  I wish he was here to today to see my kids and watch me follow my passion, his wisdom was the most amazing thing I could ever ask for.

When I Justin and I started dating I watched his bond with my dad grow so incredibly.  Justin was like another son to him and I watched my dads values about family poor into Justin.  Justin is the most amazing Dad and Husband I could ask for.  He reminds me so much of my dad.  He doesn’t say much but when he does you better listen and I love that about him.  He is always there for people around him and he puts Austin, Shelby and Cody first before anything else in his life.  He hates it when he misses anything in their lives and goes out of his way to be there at every turn and mistake they make.  I think the worse thing that the kids can do is upset me.  If it frustrates him its ok but if they do something that hurts me – you better watch out.  lol.  20 years ago I married the sweetest, most loving, amazing Dad, amazing husband and most of all My Best Friend.  Thank you Justin for being there for the kids and I and Happy Fathers Day.  Thanks for being a dad to our 3 kids like my dad was to me and my brothers.

Shann (an amazing photographer) invited me to go help him with a wedding (thanks so much ‘cuz it changed my life) and if I only knew that I would love it as much as I did and it would be something that at every wedding I think about my dad, my husband our kids and how God has placed them in my life and I am so grateful and I tear up every father daughter 1st look and dance.  God has had his hand in every part of my life (even when I didn’t realize it).

I feel that my dad is the biggest reason that photography became my passion because the years I had with him and took it for granted.  Now every photo that I have of him is irreplaceable and I love them.  And I have an amazing husband that has backed up and helped with my passion for years now.  Thank you for being the inspiration that I hope that I give people memories of their family so that they have them forever and will cherish them always!.  Thanks Dad and Justin for helping me so much in my life and the lives of people all around you.  I love you more than words can express.
